About Dr. Sridhar M

Dr. Sridhar trained in anaesthesiology before specialising further with a DM in Pain Medicine at AIIMS Rishikesh, one of India's leading centres for interventional pain training. He now practises pain medicine in Kanpur, working with patients referred for pain that hasn't resolved through general treatment — often after they've already tried several other approaches.

His clinical and academic interests centre on neuropathic pain, central and nociplastic pain disorders, and spine and axial pain, with particular expertise in ultrasound- and fluoroscopy-guided interventions and radiofrequency ablation techniques. He is also active in clinical research, with several published studies and ongoing trials in pain medicine.

Studies on prolonging spinal sedation with dexmedetomidine in elderly patients (SEEJPH, 2025); levobupivacaine with fentanyl in spinal anaesthesia (2024); T2–T3 sympathetic radiofrequency ablation for neuropathic and myofascial pain after brachial plexus injury and phantom limb pain (2025); and a case report on periarticular radiofrequency ablation for Bertolotti's syndrome (2025).

A prospective study on ultrasound-guided nerve fascial plane intervention for chronic upper back myofascial pain (Indian Journal of Pain), and a case report on ultrasound-guided third occipital nerve block for painful C1–C2 fibrous dysplasia (Pain Medicine Case Reports).
